Installment 2: The Roadtrip

Not all vacations can be stay-cations.  Sometimes you have to hit the open road… Mom’s a real go-getter, always on the run, so I followed her lead on this next vacation installment:  The Roadtrip!

Step One:  Stocking up on provisions.  Mom doesn’t go anywhere without insuring her boys are fed…

Don’t hold back Mama, just put the snackies by my feet…

It’s a Myers family tradition… The best time to hit the road is when the little ones are asleep…

I’m only doing this to humor you Dad…

So of course I didn’t take any exception when the big folk had to take a break too.

I’m no doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night… (somewhere in Pennsylvania)

Mom and Dad told me the drive was pretty smooth.  I don’t remember much of it…

I think I’ve got this driving thing down…

Hey, I think we’re in New York!

The first official destination on our roadtrip was Rye, New York.  Time to meet Theo Thomas, Na Nan, and my awesome big cousins Narinn, Lydia and Siri.

I kind of like this guy… although he keeps calling me “The Takster.” What’s up with that?!?

Lydia and Siri wanted to give Dad some pointers on how to take care of a baby…

Our babies are much quieter than yours Uncle Steve!

I think cousin Narinn was glad to meet me…

Boy Power!!!

Oops , where’s Na Nan?  We will have to get the paparazzi to capture a shot next time!
Whoa, this running around is exhausting.  How does mom do it??

I’ll sleep the first shift Dad, so that I can drive in the morning…

The next day it was over the river and through the woods to Grandmomma and Papa John’s house we go… No stopping ‘til we hit Norwich, Connecticut!

Why hello there Papa John!

One of the great things about a roadtrip is sampling the local cuisine.
The milk here tasted especially fine…

Yeah Papa John, sometimes after a bottle I just like to relax a bit…

Mom says the secret is in the ingredients…

Mmmmmmmm…

… I think the secret is the company!

Why hello Grandmomma!

I had a lot of fun playing with Grandmomma and Papa John.   Glad to know I come from good stock!

So who do you think I look like???

On our roadtrip we also got to see Mom and Dad’s college buddies the Nimetys.  Kaya and Cedar were especially fun! (Photo unavailable…)

Grandmomma and Papa John tucked me in for the return trip with the blanket Great Gammie Cecelia made for Daddy.

Snug as a bug!

Another 789 miles and we’ll be all the way back home!

Huh, Pennsylvania looks the same way coming as it did going…
