Installment 4: D-town

The week before Christmas at my house is kind of a rush trying to get things ready before we head out of town.

Dad said he needed an extra pair of hands, and I was happy to help…
Of course Mama is an expert shopper, but even she was feeling the crunch.

Neither rain nor sleet nor gloom of night shall keep these presents from being delivered!
It wasn’t all hard work and running around, there was also a break for an early Christmas present.

Apparently some Christmas traditions are bigger than me.
Thanks Uncle Quinn, Aunt Tera, Uncle Tony and Aunt Sheri!
Once everything in Cincinnati was situated, we packed up the car and headed up north for Christmas to see Yiayia, Pappou, and a whole bunch of family!

Ahhh Moose, together again on the road…

Michigan… There comes a time in every man’s life when he needs to get back to his roots.

First impressions of Michigan:  Awesome.  Yiayia and Pappou are here!

No seriously Yiayia, I’m taller…
Of course Michigan has more than Yiayia and Pappou, so I had to get all spiffed up to meet the rest of the clan.

Shout out to my good friends the Zimmerlys, thanks for the slick shoes Andrew!

First stop, Great Grandma Oleksinski.  This lady is a keeper!

Great Grandma, what beautiful big blue eyes you have!

Mama says you are a big fan of dessert, must be hereditary…

Then we were off to an abbreviated tour of Greece.
First, I had a wonderful visit with my Thea Olympia and Theo Vasili

Wait, wait, don’t tell me, kouklos.  I know this word…
Of course I made the pilgrimage to Gus’ Coney Island…

A bottle of milk and a cheese coney, please!
...and caught up with Thea Tony in the fast lane.

Wow, this lady has style!
Next stop Theo Jimmy and Thea Sophie’s.

Don’t worry Theo, I’ll live up to our name!

No, no, trust me.  I’m even cuter in profile, look.
Then we decided to mix it up, throwing a few xenos into the rotation.  It was a lot of fun getting to see our friends the Smiths again.

Yeah Colin, your Nana Monastersky is a great cuddler!

Finally, a special visit with my Nouno and Thea Eva at Yiayia’s house.

If this is your Mommy, no wonder you’re such a great Nouno!

Thanks for all the great fashion tips!
Wow, what a whirlwind tour, and we didn't even get pictures of Pappou’s birthday celebration with Thea Kathy, Thea Tina and Thea Emily or the entire Oleksinski Christmas Eve. (Thank goodness Uncle Jeff got some good ones I hear!)

Sorry we couldn't catch everyone this time, hopefully next time around, or better yet in Cincinnati. Our house is always open for visitors!

After a trip like that I need a little shut-eye!
